Passion Play
Love Is Stronger Than Death
A terrific cast will hold you spellbound in this one of a kind seductive thriller from the screenwriter of The Recruit. The last thing washed-up jazz musician Nate Pool (Academy Award-nominee Mickey Rourke, The Wrestler) wanted to do was betray sinister gangster Happy Shannon (Academy-Award-nominee Bill Murray, Lost In Translation). But it may be the last thing he does unless he can deliver Lily (Megan Fox, Transformers), a beautiful and mysterious carnival sideshow attraction. The stakes can't get any higher for the two lovers as they try to elude the merciless killer who will stop at nothing to keep Lily for himself. Kelly Lynch (Drugstore Cowboy) and Rhys Ifans (Notting Hill) costar in this gritty and unpredictable tale of redemption in the hard-boiled tradition of classic film noir.

WHAT were they thinking??!!?? - farquh
I was skeptical when I discovered a movie that I that starred both Mickey Rourke AND Bill Murray! How had I not heard of this??? Well, having now seen it, I can understand why NO ONE is talking about it!!
This is easily one of the worst movies of 2010. I cannot believe that both Murray and Rourke decided to do this! Did they not read the script before they committed?
The premise is laughable - Rourke plays a jazz musician who has a hit on head from a gangster played by Murray. Rourke goes to a circus and discovers Megan Fox...the catch? She has a genetic mutation that look exactly like angel wings.
So what does Rourke do? He tries to trade her to Murray in order to take the hit off his head. The problem? Rourke is actually in love with her!
Sounds bad? Well, it is.
Hey, I love Mickey Rourke movies, and I especially like Bill Murray in dramatic roles. So, I toughed this one out to the very end...and I wish I hadn't! The ending is the worst part of all.
Avoid this one, even if you ARE a fan of the two leads.Weird in the worst way - eli_quincy
I love strange, quirky films. Passion Play is that, but it's also a completely and utter trainwreck, and one that's embarrassing for all involved. While Bill Murray tries his best (or, at least, he tries) to raise the overall level of quality in this piece of dreck, it simply isn't enough. I felt embarrassed for everyone involved with the film.Don't Do It!! - 0930tracey
Don't Waste Your Zip! This movie was really baaaaad. The script was weak, the acting was forced (Megan Fox should just stop "acting") and truthfully, I just felt embarrassed for them.
Bill Murray- Why??
I read that Mickey Rourke criticized Megan's acting. It's too bad she got a rather large tattoo in honor of Rourke...
