Jesse Stone: Innocents Lost
When his friend is murdered, the badge just gets in the way.
Tom Selleck returns as Paradise's anguished former Chief of Police, Jesse Stone, in his most gripping mystery yet. Cindy Van Aldan was like a daughter to Jesse. Now she's dead. Although all signs point to a suicidal drug overdose-a checkered history riddled with addiction, associations with homicidal mobsters and an involvement in prostitution-Jesse knows his friend better than that.
This time it's personal, and Jesse will stop at nothing to avenge the lost innocence and subsequent death of the young girl he once mentored.

For To, Selleck it is not one of his best pieces of work for I have seen him at his best and maybe it is his age that has caught up to him or it is just bad writing on the writers side and him ro accept to do this movie although it has its moments of mystery it is predictable as to what is going to be next.Poor - DogLover
I must admit that I have not seen any of the previous movies but this was terriby depressing and a poor use of Tom Sellick's acting ability. This actor has always been a favorite of mine and my husband's and that is why we rented it. What a disappointment that was!!! I quit watching after about an hour and my husband watched the rest. The next morning I asked him if it got any better and he said it did not. I would not recommend this movie to anyone that has not been following the series, it is just not good use of your time.Another Good Episode - newdaysof
Innocents Lost is the latest episode in the Jesse Stone series of full-length movies starring Tom Selleck.
In this episode, he has been "retired" from his job as police chief in the small East Coast town of Paradise (filmed in Nova Scotia), but the death of a young female friend compels him to find out answers to what really happened. Along the way, he meets up with his friends and co-workers that we've seen in previous episodes.
The character of Jesse Stone is a bit of a contradiction: on the one hand, he is the strong silent type who chooses his words carefully and who people respect, admire and look up to. On the other hand, he is troubled by serious emotional problems and alcoholism. He is seeing a shrink to help him work his way through some of his problems. But deep down he has a good heart and wants to help people.
The soundtrack is excellent, as it is with all of these episodes. Some of the dialogue seems a little forced and un-natural, and there seemed to be something going on between Stone and his pet dog, but it is never explained and never leads to anything in the story. Other than that, it's an enjoyable series to watch and at the conclusion of the this one, we know there will be another one released.
