The Smurfs: A Christmas Carol
Please note the 22-minute running time.
In this direct-to-video Christmas special, the beloved Charles Dickens' holiday classic, A Christmas Carol, is given an all-new makeover... Smurf style!
In this adaptation, Grouchy Smurf plays the crusty old miser who hates everything to do with Christmas. To try to help him regain his Christmas spirit, Papa Smurf goes to whip something up in his labratory. Soon after, Grouchy is visited by three separate ghosts: the Smurf of Christmas Past (Smurfette), the Smurf of Christmas Present (Brainy), and the Smurf of Christmas Future (Hefty). Will they be able to show Grouchy the true meaning of Christmas?

...but this one doesn't say it. It seemed a lazy excuse to put out another DVD, even for a kids special. You know the story, you know how it ends. The fact that the Smurfs are now computer-generated is no more interesting. Save your kids another tedious Dickens version so they don't grow to hate the original.
