Final Destination 5
Death is just as omnipresent as ever, and in Final Destination 5 it strikes again. During the bus ride to a corporate retreat, Sam (Nicholas D'Agosto) has a premonition in which he and most of his friends - as well as numerous others - die in a horrific bridge collapse. When his vision ends, events begin to mirror what he had seen, and he frantically ushers as many of his colleagues - including his friend, Peter (Miles Fisher), and girlfriend, Molly (Emma Bell) - away from the disaster before Death can claim them. But these unsuspecting souls were never supposed to survive, and in a terrifying race against time, the ill-fated group tries to discover a way to escape Death's sinister agenda.

Pitiful fifth entry. - estefan
Some genuinely suspenseful scenes and some interesting plot twists aren't enough to save a film filled with lame characters and just as much as stupidity as the last couple of Final Destinations. None of the characters have any personality to them whatsoever, all by actors just using this as a possible career-launching pad. The death scenes start out with the right amount of suspense, but they all end up getting offed in the most unbelievably stupid ways. The screenplay does later write some creative scenarios that play around with the usual formula of this series and the ending goes nicely full-circle in a satisfying conclusion. However, it also reminds me that the franchise started off in a much better executed manner.Same Old - 0930tracey
I definitely felt like I had seen this movie before. I guess that's because the second, third and fourth installments all seem like the same movie.
I like cheesy horror movies, but I wanted more from a franchise that had so much promise.
It wasn't terrible, but like I said,
I've seen it before.Death... doesn't like to be cheated. - CaptainRhodes
Great wrap up to the whole series. I was entertained and that can never be a bad thing. Can it?
USELESS FACTS:
Many of the main characters are named after famous horror directors: Peter Friedkin is named after The Exorcist director William Friedkin; Candice Hooper is named after Tobe Hooper who directed The Texas Chain Saw Massacre and Poltergeist;and Olivia Castle is named after William Castle who directed The Tingler and the original House on Haunted Hill.
Producers have said that this installment will be darker (like the first film), as opposed to the almost comedic route that the 4th film took.
Tony Todd starred in the first two films and provided a voiceover in the third. He was not featured in the fourth film, but has returned to star in this one.
