not my taste - Hilarity

I heard about this show for quite some time & was looking forward to finally seeing it for myself. What I found are people who are very vacuous & annoying. There seems to be a very male sensibility about this show that didn't translate to my female senses. I've met a lot of celebrities and don't find much of this to reflect the way in which most of them live or behave.

Entourage Season One was one of the funniest television shows I have seen in years. It is truly hilarious. Unfortunately, it is not for everyone - the show's leads have terrible views on women, who are used for decoration; I cannot think of a single strong or lasting female character in the show. What I do like, aside from getting a view into Hollywood, is the feeling that whatever trouble the actors get into, it will all turn out okay. Most shows these days seem to use hanging threats to keep viewers coming back; this show never gave you a moment's worry, so you can sit back and enjoy the ride.

Incredibly appealing - looli

A total reinvention of the half hour comedy, Entourage is startling in its appeal. On the face of it, the characters should be totally unlikeable: a vain actor who appears to be an intellectual lightweight, his washed-up C-list older brother starved for a comeback, a freeloading friend only too happy to reap the fruits of another's labour, a low self-esteem queen, and a bullying, cellphone-yelling, testosterone pumped agent. Yet, against all odds, I find myself won over week by week. The dialogue is snappy, and the core of the show--the obvious affection and loyalty the characters have for each other--is entirely believable.

Adrian Grenier is sex on legs, you could eat him with a spoon; Jeremy Piven manages to make a consistently over the top performance believable; and Kevin Dillon basically plays himself (or what one might imagine his life to be, as the older, less famous brother to a famous film star), which adds a poignancy to his character, which otherwise could threaten to become a buffoon.
