I'm a huge fan of The Daily Show but found I was a bit distracted throughout watching this DVD. For whatever reason this DVD proved more to be a background for me reading a book than capturing my attention. If anything this DVD reminded me of why Stephen Colbert is such a genius and got his own show. And I like the unbleeping of the curse words, makes me feel right at home.

It's Where to get THE NEWS - NeoMalfoy

In these days of 24 hour news cycles and Missing blond white girls to cover 24 hours a day (Hello Rita Cosby!) How about getting people stirred into a frenzy so much that there are loud right to life protests with chants drums and all out side a palliative care hospice (Remember Teri Sheivo). Where the news is sponsored advertising for the Drug and Chemical companies so no reporter dare factually cover what's really going on or risk being black balled (see Greg Palast). In this day of Fox(Faux) News (One Vowel movement away from what they actually do to the news) talking heads Comes the only place to get the real news...

What a sad state the US media is in when more Americans get their news from News Satire shows like The Daily Show and The Colbert Report...

For anyone who is unfarmilier with TDS think This Hour Has 22 Minutes but with actual news...

If you want the real POOP in US politics forget CNN, FOX or WNBC (with the exception of Countdown with Keith Oberman... a former sportscaster... does more real news the real news people EESH!)

turn you dial to Comedy Central or here in Canada The Comedy Network Defanately time NOT wasted!!!

Quality TV Comedy - TheShamus

I had the opportunity to see Jon Stewart perform "stand-up" comedy in Niagara Falls this year (2007). His intelligent, witty, biting humour exceeded other legendary comedians such as Jay Leno and Jeff Foxworthy.

For fans of Jon Stewart's, "The Daily Show", this should come as no shock. Stewart is not only funny, but he surrounds himself with talented people. The comedy on these DVD's is political --- but don't let that turn you off. This is funny stuff.

One of the greatest things about Stewart is that he will take a swipe at all political parties (I'll stop short of saying he is "non-partisan").

Comedy Central's "Daily Show" is a great example of the amazing quality of this broadcast. There are plenty of laughs. Highly recommended.
