There will long be arguments over when the "glory days" of the Simpsons occurred - my vote is for the mid to late nineties - but none can deny that it changed television and spawned a plethora of imitators and basically invented the adult animated sitcom as a genre.

The Simpsons have done it again with another wonderful season. Funny as ever and incredibly witty. Season 6 gives us the first cliff hanger episode, "Who Shot Mr. Burns?" and they poke fun at the audience with "Another Clip Show". Homer's sexual harassment suit with the Gummy Venus de Milo will keep you laughing for hours! Several episodes draw inspiration from hollywood movies including Rear Window and Jurassic Park. Sit back, relax and get ready to laugh!

Consitent and great season! - Pr0metheus

he season starts with Bart of Darkness, a clever parody of Rear Window where after getting his leg broken, Bart thinks Ned killed his wife. This episode has my favorite Ned moment when he re-sees his "victim". Itchy and Scratchy Land finds the family going to the titular park only to have the robots run amok Jurassic Park style. Sideshow Bob comes back and runs for Mayor in Sideshow Bob Roberts.

Bart and Lisa becomes rivals when they're on opposing hockey teams. Probably one of my favorite Simpson ending, if slightly too sentimental. An episode classic where Homer joins the Stonecutters and becomes a leader in Homer the Great. Another flashback episode like The Way We Were and Maggie's First Word as we find out how Maggie came to be in And Maggie Makes Three.

Krusty gets in mob trouble and opens a clown college which makes Homer the Clown. An episode classic Lisa's Wedding where Lisa gets a glimpse of her future love, complete with the Simpsons in the future. Two Dozen and One Greyhounds has Bart and Lisa trying to get back Santa's Little Helper's puppies after Burns steals them. Complete with ever-popular See My Vest song.

The Springfield Connection has Marge joining the police and doing good until she has to bust Homer. Lemon of Troy has the kids embroiled in the rivalry with Shelbyville as they steal Springfield's lemon tree. And probably my favorite episode of Simpsons ever, Who Shot Mr Burns Part One deals with of course an attempted murder on Burns. Sharply written and composer Alf Clausen does my favorite version of the Simpsons theme with the JFK homage.

I find that Season 6 was a more consistent season rather than outright funniness. There was a couple of episodes that weren't as funny but they were at least entertaining.
