Veronica Mars: Season 1
In the wealthy, seaside community of Neptune, California, the rich and powerful make the rules. Unfortunately for them, there's Veronica Mars, a smart, fearless 17-year-old apprentice private investigator dedicated to solving the town's toughest mysteries. Veronica used to be one of the popular girls, but it all came crumbling down around her after her best friend, Lilly, was murdered, and her then-sheriff father, Keith, was removed from office for naming Lilly's rich father as the lead suspect. During the day, Veronica must negotiate high school like any average teenage girl. But at night, she helps with her father's struggling, new private investigator business - and what she finds may tear the town of Neptune apart at the seams.

Excellent first season - SameOldStory
Going into "Veronica Mars", I wasn't sure what I would think of it. I loved Rob Thomas's later series "Party Down," but my opinion on Kristen Bell was iffy at best.
But the first season was excellent. The ongoing mystery was well thought out and the cases of the week were as good as they get on a show like this.
Logan Echols is one of the best teenage characters I've seen on TV and Veronica is a very likable protagonist. Her relationship with her father is one of the best parts of the show.Awesome Storytelling! - 0930tracey
Having just finished another TV Series that I loved, I was desperately trying to find another I could fall for in an instant. After searching through all the zip titles, I came across Veronica Mars. All the reviewers loved it, so I thought why not? I'M SO GLAD I DID. I am mad about this girl. This show is so witty, it makes me laugh out loud. I can't wait for all the other seasons. Thank you reviewers for a great recommendation!!!some of the best tv ever - outlander78
Veronica Mars Season One is a fantastic collection of some of the best TV work. It has a strong formula and plot, great dialogue and, excellent actors. True, they are twenty-somethings playing high school kids, and high school kids are not really this eloquent or witty, but watching this show, you wish they did. The season-long mysteries (there are two), and the mystery-of-the-week plots, are very well done. Don't mistake this for a teenage mystery show – it is a brilliant piece of work adults will appreciate.
