The Facts of Life: Season 1 & 2
You take the good, you take the bad, you take them both and there you have The Facts Of Life!
A spin-off of the tremendously popular >Diff'rent Strokes, The Facts of Life is the hilarious series that follows Mrs. Edna Garrett (Charlotte Rae) and her mission as housemother to instill values in the girls of Eastland School.
The large first season cast included John Lawlor, Jenny O'Hara, Lisa Whelchel, Felice Schachter, Julie Piekarski, Kim Fields, Molly Ringwald, Julie Anne Haddock, Mindy Cohn and Nancy McKeon.
By the second season, the show focused on Mrs. Garrett and just four Eastland girls - spoiled Blair, gossipy Tootie, wise-cracking Natalie, and rebellious Jo. Under Mrs. Garrett's guidance, these four go from wide-eyed school girls to mature young women... all while learning The Facts Of Life! Guest stars include the cast of Diff'rent Strokes, Helen Hunt and Richard Dean Anderson of TV's MacGyver! Includes all 29 laugh-packed episodes from Seasons One and Two!

I love the first season... - Anon1832
Well...the first season is great. The second season is a little bit more sophisticated, but it's not quite as much fun. I liked the large ensemble cast. I do like the additional of Joe...but she's a little one dimensional to start with. She does grow as the season goes on. All in all, it's fun - but I do miss the other characters from the first season. You're Innnnn Trrrrrrroubllllle - SynnAminn
OKay who DOESN'T remember that infamous line from Tootie?
If you do then you'll LOVE watching this shows again, like I did.
Blair was the exact same from day one to day end. And Tootie stayed a blabber mouth all the way through too.
I love the earlier episodes with Molly Ringwald. Who would have guessed later in life she'd become A Teen Movie Princess.
If these TV shows were some of your Faves from the 80's I'll promise you they STILL ARE!
Gotta Love Mrs G!!Great visit with the 80s - Dorothy_Zbornak
This Season 1 & 2 combination release is fantastic! Season 1 was drastically different from the rest of the series, featuring an additional 4 girls (and minus Nancy McKeon's character) including a very young Molly Ringwald, the headmaster and for the first few episodes, a female teacher.
By Season 2, the cast was reduced and the familiar formula emerged that would dominate the rest of the show - Mrs. Garrett, Jo, Blair, Tootie and Natalie.
The special features are pretty decent. With the exception of Nancy McKeon, there are interviews with the 3 other main girls, as well as with most of the other girls from Season 1.
