Sad to see it go (spoiler alert!) - JWDad

Despite some of the negative comments, I absolutely loved the last episode. The twist ending with Arvin's apparent victory was just wonderful. Unfortunately, Jack Bristow didn't make it, but he had the satisfaction of making sure that Arvin did not quite achieve his series-long goal of solving the Rambaldi mystery, building the machine and availing himself of its powers.

As sad as I was when the end of the last episode of Alias arrived, I must admit that it was time the series ended. Although caracters like Sydney, Jack, vaughn, Sark and Sloan remained strong all along, some episodes made absolutely no sense. Although I expected Vaughn to come back from the grave ( to predictable ), the was y it was played made no sense. In the end, I was disapointed with the death of Jack and the way the way Irina turned to the dark side ( what was her motivations ? )but to see Sloan getting stuck like he did, that was great. In sum, I found the last season to be mediocre in comparison to the first 3 seasons. It was better that the fourth, but it can't compare to season 1 and 2. Honestly, I would have preffered 5 season of Syd trying to bring down SD6 compared fighting all those wannabe-SD groups like the covenant and Prophet 5. Still a must see for die hard fans.

Weakest Season By Far - ZipMember

I've been an Alias fan, not a crazy fan, but I started watching the show on DVD and then watched it on TV weekly. Coming into Season Five, the show knew it'd be its last. And this is another example of too many loose ends that needed to be tied together FAST. Jennifer Garner, Victor Garber, and Garner's chemistry with Michael Vartan, are the hearts of this show. In Season Five, Garner was on maternity rest and played less of a role. Vartan was missing for most of it, probably due to the fact that Garner and Vartan were now ex's in real life. The other characters were under-developed and unfamiliar to the loyal fans who have not stuck around to see the newbies take over the show. I'm all for the first 4 seasons, but this one is seriously very unfulfilling.
