A bit disappointing - Wayne3
I love Ellen, and Season 4 was fantastic with the culmination of Ellen coming out in 'The Puppy Episode'. Season 5 fell flat for me, and it seemed like they were trying too hard to make a commentary on being gay. Ground breaking for sure, it was 1997-98 after all, but funny not really which is too bad. I think Ellen is very funny, but the material here was uninspired, and by the end of the season it was almost painful to watch.

Very good, specially the episodes starting with when she comes out of the closet and all the ones after. She is one of THE best comic lesbian along with Wanda Sykes. Check Ellen's 2009 Commencement Speech at Tulane University. JUST UNBELIEVABLY FUNNY.
