The plot thickens! - imagination201

Normally, I'm not a horror amateur, but this series transcends this category by starring two richly-developped central characters, while playing with various and original turns and twists regarding a plethora of situations and myths. Drama, thriller, humor, horror, and intrigue, there is a lot for everyone to thoroughly enjoy.

In season 3, the main intrigue revolves around Dean's imminent death and trip to Hell, but until then, they have their hands full with various adventures.

Top of the line T.V.! - Lady_Olwen

Sam & Dean Winchester are back for another Season of fighting supernatural evil. Dean’s contract with the Crossroads Demon has left him with one year to live and so Sam must figure out a way to free his brother from the deal before time runs out. Can he do it or will Dean get dragged into hell?

Yes the two leads (Jensen Ackles & Jared Padalecki) are easy on the eyes, have a bitchin ride & the villains rock, but to say that is all there is to Supernatural would be to dismiss it as your typical & superficial horror show. Truth is Supernatural goes way beyond its two smokin leads and scary adversaries.

It is brilliantly written and has stories that resonate with & provoke viewers. Exceptional acting, along with complex, vibrant & genuine characters. Top of the line special effects (esp. for television), an amazing soundtrack and great directors (i.e. Kim Manners, Phil Sgriccia & Robert Singer).

This show has it all – the complete package. This is the gourmet meal that television should be & can be, not the pabulum that we as viewers are so often fed.

A guilty plessure - Shmoolix

I won't lie this show reminds me a bit of Buffy and I hate Buffy, but this a little more smart... not my much, but it's a lot more fun. That's why I gave it 4 stars just because it has a lot of action and heart and it won't make you think twice, but it's a lot of fun to sit through and that's what I enjoy about this show.
