One Man. Two Very Different Lives.

Henry (Christian Slater) is a middle-class efficiency expert living a humdrum life in the suburbs with his wife, kids, dog, and a minivan. Edward (Slater) is an operative who speaks 13 langueages, runs a four-minute mile, and is trained to kill. The one thing Henry and Edward have in common is they share the same body. But when the carefully constructed wall between them breaks down, these polar opposites are thrust into unfamiliar territory where each man is dangerously out of his element. Also starring Alfre Woodard (Desperate Housewives), Mike O'Malley (Yes, Dear), Mädchen Amick (Gossip Girl) and Taylor Lautner (Twilight), plus powerful guest stars such as James Cromwell (L.A. Confidential).

Great Suspense - dougric

I enjoyed this series very much. Christian Slater played two very different characters very well. The transitions between the two were done in such a way that the suspense was magnified. In many ways the stories were so out there that they were almost believable. With the amount of conspirisy theories out there one could imagine that there is a program like this. It would have been great to see some more of both Edward and Henry and how they began to work together.

I found this series captivating and entertaining. I really liked the Christian Slater dual character and was always wondering what would come next.
The development of the characters and their likely direction in the story was well developed for the first season of a series. Unfortunatley, it does not seem to have a second; I would pick it up in a heartbeat.

Excellent Action and Humor, Recommended - fairweather

I have thoroughly enjoyed this series and think the title character has incredible talent. I hope to see more of him in future roles which can make use of his versatility. He makes an ultracool superspy/action star character equal in every respect to any 007 or Bourne character and totally believable in that role, as well as as being believable as the man who relates to his family as an ordinary, humble family man. The switches between them make for incredible humor or edge of your seat suspense, and the writers used Christian Slater's talents to the fore in every scene. The story revolves around an ultrasecret government agency/project which makes two people out of one so the spy person can "sleep" until needed and the "ordinary" person can have a regular life when he is set to "on". The problem comes when the switch gets faulty and the spy is likely to be terminated for being "broken" and so has to communicate with the "ordinary" character, so they can mutually survive the really badass terrorists who are after "them". It seemed a bit quirky for a film premise, but it works very well in practice and is entertaining and interesting. Only in such a movie premise could you have the ultraspy about to go on a mission and suddenly he gets switched over as he is about to parachute (at night) out of a plane on a top secret mission.. and the ordinary guy gets to say, "wait a minute.. what do you mean I have to JUMP?" Hilarious.. The secondary characters are also well cast, the best friend, psychologist, mission director and supervisor playing outstanding parts which make the whole production "click", as well as the family characters at home which add the warmth and affability of wife and daughter/son to the mix. Caveats that it does of course have a lot of action/violence and sex, as an action flick (Bourne, 007, etc), interspersed with Family Man (humor & interpersonal relationship at a deeper than slapstick level) would be apt to do.
