This movie is like no other! once you get over Nicholas Cages new greasy tangle of hair(!!), you will LOVE this movie! it has a rich plot, filled with goodguy/badguy fights for justice, numerous chuckles, seriouse fights, superbe actors, and butt kicking of the bad! i recomend this movie to anyone who wants to see a good action movie. It's as good as or better than the Die Hard movies, with classic individual flair that few movies posses these days! Deffinantly worth your wile to watch this epic film!!

What's not to like about this fun, action-filled film that doesn't take itself too seriously and fully embraces it's B-movie plot? A great cast of seasoned actors are along for this wild ride in the skies.
War hero and "good guy" Cameron Poe (Nicolas Cage) gets sentenced to jail for killing a man in a brawl in order to protect his pregnant wife. After serving his term, Cameron is finally free- he just has to hitch a ride home on a plane full of convicts who are transferring to a maximum security prison. When Cyrus "The Virus" (John Malkovich) hatches a plot to bring the plane down and the cons to freedom, Cameron is caught in the literal crossfire as he tries to keep his release from prison a secret. With the help of Agent Larkin (John Cusack) on the ground, its up to Cameron to bring this plane - and the convict's plan- to a halt.
Great performances all around. Con Air lets Malkovich and Steve Buscemi run free in over the top performances that are perfectly suited to this film. Cage is great playing up his action hero acting status, as is a cast of familiar character actors as the convicts. it's not a serious film by any means, but it is an action movie with humour and a bit of substance amidst the explosions.
Some violent scenes and drug use, may make this film unsuitable for the youngest of viewers, but everyone else should hop on board this plane for a fun time.

I loved this movie. Yes it's predictable and campy but it's still great. Nicolas Cage is great. Not really a person I would've thought for this role, but he's good just the same. Steve Buscemi is my fav though. Funny guy. Lots of action, lots of humor. I recommend it.
