Jackie (Heather Graham) lives alone with her mother (Grace Zsbriskie) on the outskirts of a desert town in New Mexico. She frequently visits the top of a high plateau to call into the wind. She hopes for an echo, but gets much more. A young man's voice (Michael A. Nickles) answers Jackie's call. Incredibly, he's in Arizona, 500 miles away. They have found a tunnel, a path to communicate on the wings of the wind. Seven years pass before the young man returns to the canyon worn out by life's experiences. He seeks the voice of the young woman who never stopped hoping for his return. What follows is a night of magic, mystery, dreams and love that defies time and space.
