Bounty hunters from the future raid the present to provide new bodies for the super rich in the all-out, pedal-to-the-metal sci-fi thriller Freejack, directed by Geoff Murphy (Young Guns) and sparked by the imagination of Alien and Total Recall veteran Ronald Shusett.

Emilio Estevez, Mick Jagger, Anthony Hopkins and Rene Russo star, keeping pace with the scenic, supersonic excitement. Prior to a crash, race car driver Alex Furlong (Estevez) is snatched from his cockpit and hurled into the futureworld of 2009. He's dead. And running for his life. He's a "freejack," a stranger in the strangest of lands. And a relentless "bonejacker" (Jagger) can collect millions bringing him in.

Freejack - Sick_Boy

What happens when a bunch of up and coming 'actors' don't read a script their handed, and sign on the dotted line? You get 'Freejack'. Although the film does drag at certain moments, and I did feel guilty about Emilio and Renne making out,it felt like I was watching a mother and child, this movie was pure kitch. I enjoy watching it strictly because I know it's terrible, kinda like 'Escape from New York'. It has this feel of 'what if this happened' but blows it to pieces with sureal new found moralism, a sense of hollywood justice. If you can look past this however, and take the flick for what it is, a b-movie cheese fest, then enjoy and laugh it up with some friends.

Freejack? Flashback! - bumboloo

This movie was moderately entertaining for Friday night viewing. The fun part was seeing all the great actors who are more than 10 years younger. Emilio Estevez has come a long way from Freejack - in this movie he looks dazed and confused and it the high tension parts where he should be tearing away, he seems to jog nonchalantly to the next mishap. The special effects would have been quite good when the movie came out, but given what we are used to seeing they seemed dated and hokey. Mick Jagger was fantastic, as usual. The movie was not that bad. But not that great either. I would give it two and a half stars.

Entertaining at points - Willy1

Emilio Estevez comes across as a kid in a role meant for an older, more seasoned actor. There are some really good moments here. The moments are few and far between and, the flick has too many slow moments. The main actors here, Estevez, Russo and Hopkins (on screen for about 8 minutes total time and third billed) seem like musicians trying to act in a film. Meanwhile, the only good performances come from musicians, Mick Jagger (first dramatic role since 'Performance 22 years earlier) and David Johansen. It's ironic that, these two rock singers out act Anthony Hopkins and company! I can not recommend this but I enjoyed moments of it.
