Where Hollywood Meets Heroes!

Escape from Sobibor (1987, 143 mins): During WW II, the death camp at Treblinka had an escape, causing the Commandant at a similar camp in Sobibor to threaten that his camp would never experience the same thing. But those who were its captives, the Jewish laborers that had been spared from the ovens, knew that they were on borrowed time and that their only hope was to escape...the only question was how to do it.

Pacific Inferno (1976, 90 mins): Two POW's (Richard Jaeckel and Tim Brown) in World War II are forced by their Japanese captors to recover a cache of silver supposedly hidden by General Douglas MacArthur shortly before retreating from the islands of the Philippines.

Samar (1962, 89 mins): Because of his political beliefs, a cynical doctor is being sent by the Spanish to a prison camp on the island of Samar. The compassionate commandant has been waiting for a doctor, and is planning to lead the residents of the camp to a new life. On the way they must encounter headhunters, mosquitoes, dense jungle and mud. Montgomery reluctantly goes, because he has no choice. By the time they arrive at their destination, a lost city in the jungle, Montgomery has found a cause and romance.
