The Little Princess

When an army officer is called to war, he leaves his only daughter Sara (Shirley Temple) to be cared for in a girls boarding school. Nicknamed "The Little Princess" because her father insists she receive the best of everything, unassuming Sara soon endears herself to both the staff and the other schoolgirls. After her father is reported missing and presumed dead, Sara begins searching army hospitals, determined to find her loving father. And in the spirit of all the great Shirley Temple movies, tragedy gives way to a surprise happy ending.
