Sometime in the future, international space station Florida Arklab orbits the earth with a two-man crew who provide global weather forecasts. But when a hostage crisis in the Middle East threatens to explode, the government orders the astronauts to blast the Indian Ocean and Persian Gulf with radiation. Now the scientists' mission of peace has become a desperate conspiracy of sabotage, murder and massive nuclear devastation. Originally created as his graduate film school project, The Noah's Ark Principle marked the exciting and potent movie debut of writer/director Roland Emmerich, who would go on to create the sci-fi blockbusters Stargate, Independence Day, and Godzilla.
