Only one man can stop the Yakuza.

Action superstar Steven Seagal is back in this nonstop thrill ride! When the governor of Tokyo is murdered, it falls on ex-CIA agent Travis Hunter to track down the responsible terrorists. However, the plot to kill the Governor is only the beginning of a web of corruption and violence. Hunter discovers a plan by a rising Yakuza leader to build an enormous drug-dealing network with the Chinese Mafia. With time running out and the Yakuza determined to see their plan through, Hunter must thwart the operation - and get out alive.

Not what I excpected - TMTH

I rented this movie because I liked Seagal’s Under Siege movies and the preview for this movie looked like a decent movie. I was quite disappointed though. I thought the movie was rated G but it turns out it is actually rated R and some of the content of the movie defiantly warrants the rating. The fights seemed really quick and chinchy with lots of blood squirting everywhere. I also didn’t like how about half the movie was in Japanese so you were reading subtitles making the movie really confusing. It also didn’t seem to have much plot to it.

not what i was expecting - Jing

I've seen a lot of Steven Seagal movies and this one was truly not worth recommending. I reason why I choose this movie is because obviously it's a Steven Seagal film. It's like choosing branded electronics such as Sony over brand X, Y, & Z. However, I was disappointed when I watched the movie. There was even a point when I had to think whether this is an actual movie or a foreign one.

The fight scenes was cool but it was too drastic and violent. I think SUBMERGED is way better than this film. I'll give 3 out of 5 stars!

A Well Crafted Film - Terry2

I've watched many Seagal movies and his latest ones in the past 4 years or so have really been downers.I must say, I was quite surprised because this movie is definitely much better than the other ones he's released lately.

A well crafted film with a few clichés, but not too many. I enjoyed it and was fascinated by the way the camera got into the street with real looking people.

There was a fight at the mall that was superb, in my opinion this was great, but it was over too soon. This was really the only time where he truly showed off his hard to hand combat moves as well as his Aikido throws. The sword fights were nice and filled with gore, and I do enjoy the Chinese sword fighting.

Steven Seagal looks in the best shape he's been in since Exit Wounds. The action fight sequences unfortunately were few and far between.

I just wish that the director had given SEAGAL more to do than spend an hour, questioning people, or driving around.
