Revenge never tasted so sweet.
The film reveals the origins of Bloodrayne in the cinematic prequel to Majesco’s popular videogame. In eighteenth century Romania, Rayne, a young dhampir (half-human, half-vampire), prone to fits of blind blood rage but saddled with a compunction for humans, strives to avenge her mother’s rape and murder by her father, Kagan, King of the Vampires.
Orphaned and forced to find refuge in a circus freak show, the only place her aberrant abilities are tolerated, Rayne does not discover her true abilities till the night she tastes human blood for the first time defending herself from the circus strong man. Consumed by bloodlust and tormented by her new identity, she transforms into BloodRayne and feeds on the blood of vampires, refusing to take the lives of innocents.
Two vampire hunters, Sebastian and Vladimir, from the Brimstone Society persuade her to join their cause to destroy the most evil and powerful of all the vampires in the land, her father. She races to find the three Talisman organs: a heart, an eye and a rib wrought from her ancestor vampire, Beliar, which Kagan also covets. The Talismans give the beholder the power to throw the earth into darkness allowing vampires to rule forever.

Gore gone bad - Wolfie
This movie had a poor story and really bad acting. They tried to hide this behind a mountain of gory special effects but even those were not done well. I have no clue how they made a third movie with this as the original.
If you want mindless violence and bad effects, this is the movie for you.I found my purpose in life - Genuine_Slacker
After viewing this inept excuse for a film, I have discovered why I was placed on this earth. I am here to warn others against seing this POS. Aside from the distractingly hot leading lady in this movie, what remains is a virtually non-existant plot line and spoken dialogue which is so profoundly wretched, it could only have been written by an 8 year old kid.
10 trained monkeys and a typewriter could have produced a better, more intelligent, and entertaining movie.

You know when Ben Kingsley is in a movie you kind of expect it to be at least half decent. I have no idea how they managed to get all these a-list actors to sign on for this z-list film. It looked like a low-grade Xena - if you can believe something would stoop that low. The things that happened as the "plot" chugged along were so random and unexplainable you had to laugh. It seems everyone in the film chose to work with a different accent which is just plain ridiculous. I would say this is just like you typical adult fil(lighting,costumes,dialouge,acting, etc.) without any of the adult fun. I cannot imagine ANYONE in their right mind enjoying this. I usually only write reviews if they are really good or realy bad so please trust me when I say this:
