I hadn’t heard of this movie until the second one was mentioned to me by a friend. This is pretty much a typical B flick of its day (’96). It would have been fully warranted to add this movie to the action –comedy genre because there was more than one instance of lols. Neither a boring nor great movie, just something to watch really.

I jsut want to see stuff blow up - tlefrancois

If your going to see this movie you already have a basic idea of what its going to be about. Its a simple, straight forward story, over the top action, and moderate acting abilities. However this is what made it an enjoyable movie.

I was not looking for an Oscar performance and did not receive any, but for a simple entertaining action movie its really not bad. Anyone criticizing this movie harshly just didn't know what they were getting into or did not bother to read the description on the jacket. See it when you don't want to think too extensively, because come on, sometimes you just want to see stuff explode.

A Major Explosion Every 15 Minutes - How Can You Go Wrong? - sinic

This could be one of the best "bad" movies made last year. There is no script, the acting is whatever the opposite of incredible is, and the action is so unbelievable and over the top that there are times when you laugh out loud in disbelief ... and it is still a fun ride.

Every major character in this movie should have died at least 6 times. I am not sure who wrote this script, but I am pretty sure that getting caught in a huge explosion, getting hit full force in the chest with a sledge hammer, or getting shot at with automatic weapons and having the bullets bouce off of a kevlar police vest will kill you 99.99999% of the time. In this movie, it is nothing more than a minor inconvenience.

The movie is so over the top silly that it ends up being enjoyable. If you're an action fan, you can't beat the mindless story that is an excuse for HUGE explosions. Turn off your brain and have fun!!
