You can't hide from your own shadow.

Jolene Blalock (Star Trek: Enterprise) James Marsters (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel) and Tony Todd (Candyman) star in this creepy chiller about a group of strangers who awaken in a locked asylum ward with no idea of who they are or how they got there. They are half-naked, cold and frightened. And they are not alone. Who has erased their memories? Why have they been imprisoned? And what is the supernatural force that is slaughtering them one by one? The answers wait deep in the darkness where a beast hungers to feed, escape is virtually impossible, and the shadows of sanity may hide the most shocking revelations of all.

Watchable - Cruce

Surprisingly, the script called for the characters to mostly keep their heads and act somewhat the way people act in odd situations. While I do not that the CGI effects were done on the cheap, a good movie does not rest on the CGI alone. The plot was relatively well thought out, the acting good across the board. I would say that this was more suspense than scare, but nonetheless, a good ride. Even the creature stayed within the limits of its power.

Don't expect much - Khartoum

Interesting idea, but that's about as far as I'll go with praise. Effects weren't the worst I have seen, but they really had the cheap "made for tv" feel to them, if you know what I mean. Bad CG. If you are looking for a movie like "Cube" in the sense that everyone wakes up with no clue where they are, or why - then try House of 9 (not award winning either, but a lot better than this).
Yeah, the more I think back on this movie, the less I liked it. All in all a pretty weak attempt.

Surprisingly Decent! - Jeefster

I don't usually expect to get a very good movie when I order a supernatural horror, but this one hit the mark! It sort of reminded me of "Cube" in that these people start off not knowing what the hell is going on and who they are, and how they're going to get out. It has good suspense right from the get-go and doesn't really let up until the end.
And to confirm what the last guy wrote, the monster is kinda cheesy. Sort of old-school early CGI, and it does detract from the overall good quality that this film carries.
And for as far as the lead being the ugliest woman for this role, take a good long look at her body and you'll forget about the face...all the actresses were obviously picked for their charms, but what does that hurt. Right? At least their acting was believable..
A great rental from out of the nowhere file, you won't go wrong if this genre of film is to your liking.
At least it didn't turn out that one of the actors was crazy and the whole thing was just a dream. Been there! Done that! (Too many times...)
