This is a prequel to the uber popular Star Wars Franchise of the 1970's. It tells you how the whole saga got started. Except this movie is not as great as its fore father. While it was interesting to watch what came beofre the movie pales in comparison to the original. But of course its a must see for any star war fanLucas Sends In The Clones - LK--
And what a second installment in this classic series they help make! We liked the progression of events in this movie -- Anakin has grown in body and mind, but not matured much emotionally, and that has him whining, complaining, being frustrated and feeling held back (by Obi-Wan, other Jedis, and pretty much everyone else).
Padme is now a Senator and has matured nicely. Obi-Wan is now a more mature and seasoned Jedi. He's frequently the voice of reason, although no one much listens to him. He's the one who protests Anakin shouldn't be encouraged to spend more time with a certain (male) corrupt politician, but the Jedi council thinks Anakin can handle it...
This movie is a good and smooth transition from Episode 1 to Episode 3 and it helps build things up (character-wise and plot-wise) for Episode 3.
We liked the action, adventure, (budding) romance, and suspense. Great chases, great stunts, and interesting twists and turns (like the clone army starting out as "good guys" but they become Storm Troopers in later episodes!). We liked this movie so much, we bought it.Now It Begins - kav2001c
Ah the classic Clone Wars which we here so much about later on in the series. But what really happened?
In the second entry we see the story develop (& finally start to pick up some momentum after the weaker Phantom Menace)
Darth Tyrannus (aka Count Dooku) has built up the seperatists army & recruited more allies. The Jedi have thier backs to the wall, and amidst the turmoil their is oppurtunity which Palpatine uses in his bid for power. The seeds of the Empire have been sown.
This also introduces the great Clone mishap (which isnt very well explained in movie, but is the basis for banning the clones later on, as the force causes deaths to balance out the sudden influx of artifical clones).
Oh and they use the notorious bounty hunter Jango Fett as source material (a man who had very little emotion in the first place, imagine how little his clones have)
Still suffers from too many small land based battles and not enough "star wars"
Great film & Yoda's fight scene is a classic
