Martin Ward (Colm Feore, Changeling) and David Bouchard (Patrick Huard, TV's Taxi) couldn't be more different: one speaks English and is from Toronto, and the other is a francophone from Quebec. One obeys the law, the other makes his own. When they are forced to work together on an investigation whose geographic jurisdiction is as mysterious as the motive of the crime they are out to solve, their differences both threaten the investigation and help pierce its mystery.

I saw this movie back when it was in theatres and thought it was brilliant. Rented it and watched it again, this time with my fiancée who hadn't seen it, and it was just as funny as I remembered. The jokes DO assume that you're from Ontario or Quebec, but there's plenty of general Canadian humour and overall it stands out as a gem. The acting was great, the story was enjoyable (even with the horrible cliché of being focused on hockey) and Rick Mercer was brilliant as ever in his small role. The actions scenes were surprisingly good too. I'm glad to see such great movies coming out of Canada in the past few years. I honestly pity the people who wrote 1 star reviews for this and tried to come off sounding like professional critics. Seriously people, stop trying to be snobs and just enjoy the movie.Great for anyone - Cenj
I don't know anyone who said they didn't like this movie. It's such a great Canadian film and both characters are great. They could have made the story about something other than hockey, to avoid the cliché, but it's still good.
Would love a sequel!Absolutely Hilarious! - chnoodle
Even if you aren't Canadian, you HAVE to watch this movie. While the main plot is a bit silly, the two main characters combine to make an entertaining and hysterically funny buddy cop team. The french-english dialogue is quick, witty and comical. The movie has some pretty decent action scenes which is saying a lot for a Canadian movie. This movie is definitely one of my favorites and I know I could watch it over and over.
