The Bourne Ultimatum
This Summer Jason Bourne Comes Home
All he wanted was to disappear. Instead, Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) is now hunted by the people who made him what he is. Having lost his memory and the one person he loved, he is undeterred by the barrage of bullets and a new generation of highly-trained killers. Bourne has only one objective: to go back to the beginning and find out who he was.
Now, in the new chapter of this espionage series, Bourne will hunt down his past in order to find a future. He must travel from Moscow, Paris, Madrid and London to Tangier and New York City as he continues his quest to find the real Jason Bourne--all the while trying to outmaneuver the scores of cops, federal officers and Interpol agents with him in their crosshairs.
Based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Robert Ludlum.

The Bourne Ultimatum - TheWiz
Matt Damon is a Master in his Art; Guaranteed! But to put his talent to work as a 20th century cowboy who spends more punches than Bruce Lee, witless dialogue of a Rambo and a plot that is purely wrestlemania is bold. This flick is not at the level of Clint Eastwood in a Sergio Leone classic. The 70's Classic, The French Connection, is more powerful. Mel Gibson and Julia Roberts in Conspiracy Theory has more Pop in this genre! The Bourne Ultimatum is simply about a man who has lost his memory and goes about the business of regaining his lost identity while his enemies try to elimiate him. No more. Kudos to Matt for cashing in on an easy pay day! Not for children. Not a family flick. Two stars because it's Matt.A Finely Crafted Action Film - ChrisCampbell
I love it when an action film takes chances with the style of shooting and editing and doesn’t condescend to the audience. With The Bourne Ultimatum Paul Greengrass creates a film that is stylish and fun with a breathtaking pace. While Greengrass received a lot of attention for United 93, the constraints of the events and the memories of September 11 made the film a strange mixture with many different forces acting both within and outside of he film. Freed of those constraints with The Bourne Supremacy and now The Bourne Ultimatum he creates intelligent action films that push the limits of the audience with hand-held camera, rapid cutting, and information delivered quickly and subtly. The brutal pacing and editing of some of the sequences in Supremacy gave people a headache and I loved them because they pushed things so far. In Ultimatum Greengrass gets the balance just right and gives the audience a bit more time to breathe, while still creating amazing sequences that built suspense with careful blocking, shooting and editing without resorting to bigger and bigger explosions.
While it’s technically a superb film, it also has some great performances with Matt Damon as the memory-deprived hero, Joan Allen as a CIA boss and an amazing performance from David Strathairn that was almost of exciting as the action sequences. This is what an action film should be – fun, intelligent and exciting. The next generation of action thrillers is here - Lone_Wolf
Ultimatum is the best film of the year so far. It has a brilliant balance between raw emotion - a genuine care for the characters - and the sheer velocity, hyper kinetic energy and pace of the film. Ultimatum is fast and in your face with the almost constant flow of chases and action sequences, but it is smart enough to know how to keep things in perspective and keep you emotionally invested in the characters of the story. It’s the ultimate action film for people who are tired of the genre rehashes, the cheap thrills, the complete lack of honest emotion – all the junk that is constantly thrown at us.
It’s a film of raw, unchecked force and exhilaration while at the same time having a potent emotional core which can sometimes be described only as tender. It wasn’t quiet perfect - a specific question of character motivation was my biggest problem, and there is a spattering of exposition - but there was certainly nothing that ruins any part of the experience what so ever. Quiet frankly, you’re likely to be too involved in the story, the endless action sequences, and the pure energy of Ultimatum to realize if the Four Horse Men of the Apocalypse themselves came charging into the theater.
