if you like sci-fi, action movies full of blood, gutts and gore this is the right choice for you. I didn't know what I was watching but I didn't shut it off anyhow I just covered my face lots. It's the kind of movie that keeps you watching right until the end. Action all the way through and good actors and actresses. It did have a happier ending than I thought it would but sad at the same timeExcellent For Most of the Way - c4th
Jake and Remy are repo men who love their work just a little too much. In a futuristic world where a company dealing in artificial human organs makes more money from finance plans than immediate sales, our heroes have the job of taking back vital “artiforgs” from clients who fail to make their payments.
When Remy (Jude Law) has a “change of heart” (literally and figuratively) he begins to see clients in more human terms. He loses his competitive edge in the repossession game and is not “cut out” for sales. With less money coming in he is unable to keep up payments for his new Jarvik 39. His struggle to survive provides “heart pounding” action spiced by a little romance.
I thought this was an excellent movie for the first hour and forty minutes at which point it took on a distinct change in character. The last fifteen minutes begin with a Rambo type commandeering followed by a string of bizarre scenes defying logic and finishing up along an unexpected tangent. Except for the one startling revelation which completes the main thrust of the story I found much of the closing moments unnecessary and just wanted producers to wrap it up before they made any more of a mess of a good movie. I suppose I can give it four stars for a hundred minutes of superb action and metaphor-filled drama carried by great performances from Jude Law and Forest Whitaker.very gory - mom97
I chose this movie because I usually enjoy Jude Law movies. Thought that it would be a movie my husband and I would both enjoy. I found it very gory, too much blood for me.
My husband enjoyed the action and fight scenes. It was definitely a guy movie.
