Skyline
Don't look up.
It was supposed to be a simple birthday weekend in Southern California. But when sunrise arrives two hours early in the form of a haunting light from an unknown source, a group of friends watch in terror as people across the city are drawn outside and swept into massive alien ships that have blotted out the L.A. skyline. Now, it will take every survival instinct the group has to elude capture in this riveting, action-packed sci-fi adventure.

The aliens are here and they want our brains! - cheapohubby
No; this movie isn't a sci-fi variant of a zombie flick. But it is that ludicrous.
These aliens evidently can harvest humans by simply having us look into a pretty light. Their ships can take a direct hit from a nuke and re-assemble themselves. So we're led to believe that their answer to wiping us out is to send big nasty monsters after us? Even better, these big nasty critters are controlled by, guess what, human brains!Terrible Direction/Script - kav2001c
I'm left scratching my head over this one. Did they plan to setup for a sequel or did they simply run out of time/script/money and just ended the thing with what they already filmed?
Pacing is utterly bizarre, film starts off showing the invasion and then an utterly pointless character developing flashback ensues (don't worry there is nothing for you to attach yourself to, they are all just begging audience for death). Then after the needless flashback we get to present time and... end the movie??? A giant WTF moment here.WTF - CouchSpud
This movie will seem really familiar because there is nothing original here. They took Monsters(way better movie) and added pieces from Alien, War of the Worlds(piece of crap) and Transformers. Spend your time re-watching Alien or District 9 and leave this mess on the shelf.
