Can't Go Wrong With This Series! - DaxKP
So I am not really into the sci-fi genre, and was hesitant to watch this series. Boy I wish I had watched it sooner! As my friends had told me when convincing me to try it, this series isn't so much about science fiction themes, as it is about real-world problems that take place in space. It is a real and believable series with great and diverse characters. Do not pass up on this series, even if you don't like sci-fi. It is an absolutely MUST-WATCH!Loved it, rented and own it now. - ADRIAN1
Characters are amazingly well developped and portrayed by the actors. Storylines that keep on the edge of your seats. Worth every minute but fans of the old series should be leary, I loved the old series and own it as well. This is not your old Battlestar not even close. Main caracters are kind of the same and the main plot is basically the same but this otherwise is a complete re-imagination of the series. This is a serious drama that captivates; Almost every episode is linked to the next in a fairly intricate plot.
It's addictive once you start you won't be able to stop.a serious drama... in space. - vide0dr0id
by bringing the story into a new era and avoiding the less believable conventions of the original series this show has convinced me that sci-fi is still very important. the miniseries got me hooked and my interest grew until i couldn't pull myself away from each new episode that aired. at one point adama (played perfectly by edaward james olmos) has a speech that he delivers at galactica's decommissioning ceremony in which he says: "You know, when we fought the Cylons, we did it to save ourselves from extinction. But we never answered the question, why? Why are we as a people worth saving? We still commit murder because of greed, spite, jealousy. And we still visit all of our sins upon our children. We refuse to accept the responsibility for anything that we've done."
very profound words...
great writing and a great show.
