Batman Returns
The Bat, the Cat, the Penguin
Gotham City faces two monstrous criminal menaces: the bizarre, sinister Penguin (Danny DeVito) and the slinky, mysterious Catwoman (Michelle Pfeiffer). Can Batman (Michael Keaton) battle two formidable foes at once? Especially when one wants to be mayor and the other is romantically attracted to Gotham's hero?

Batman Returns is the best of the 80s/90s Batman incarnations. Granted it isn't saying much given the ones not done by Tim Burton. However, it still holds up to today. The plot line is very well thought out, and the character development of Catwoman and Penguin are excellent.
While it is starting to show it's age (the Bat cave looks quite low tech!), it's still a great movie.Good Movie - sampid
You'll have to see! Batman Returns is just as good as the original Batman, despite the first one remaining the true classic, this one still takes you for a ride. And come on, I mean we've got Michelle in leather! Her classic moment of just meeting Batman and The Penguin "Meow" is classic! There are memorable characters, lines, and sets! You'll have a blast! Trust me!Great entry into the Batman series. - estefan
Like all of Tim Burton's films, Batman Returns is a stylish film with some stunning art direction and visual work. It also succeeds in being an very well put together portrait of Batman. Michael Keaton gives a great performance as Bruce Wayne, but he is out-shined by Michelle Pfeiffer who is terrific as Catwoman. The banter between Keaton and Pfeiffer is especially fun to watch. Danny DeVito does a fine job as the Penguin and although I'm not too fond with a couple of decisions on the character, I still think he works as a villain. Still, despite the unnecessary "running for mayor" plot, the screenplay works well in defining these characters and developing them. I also loved the subtle little jokes and nuances in the screenplay and Burton's direction that you manage to catch on multiple viewings. That adds to what amounts to a really great film that really grews on me every time I watch it.
