Okay, Episode 2... the show is going downhill, has been since Season 3. Having Burke's mother on to resolve the Burke situation was so transparent. Most of her scenes were really badly written. I'm thinking in particular of the one between her and George. "Burke's guy." Ugh. It came off as someone trying to mimic GA's style, rather than someone who actually has the knack for it.
Most of the show was annoying. Derek and Meredith are stuck in the same rut as always, the George/Callie/Izzie thing keeps getting dragged out. I still think George and Izzie's chemistry is more

I totally agree - disappointing for the most part. Although you're right, there were some funny moments. Like when Cristina said, "When I move, you move," and then her beeper stayed quiet. Awkward!
For most of the episode, I was thinking that I wasn't going to watch the show anymore. But then when Derek and Meredith had breakup sex and George showed up at Izzie's door and said he loved her too... I was hooked again. I guess some of my synicism has been replaced with gushing romanticism. I still think George and Izzie together is weird, but I'm ready to
